This is a summary of reports from the Northern California
BirdBox, sponsored by the Golden Gate Audubon Society, compiled
28 November 2006 at 06:00 a.m.

Highlights: ROCK WREN, HARRIS'S SPARROW, GRASSHOPPER SPARROW,
SAGE SPARROW, WHITE-THROATED SPARROW.

San Mateo Co.
-------------
On Nov 27, the adult HARRIS'S SPARROW found by Elisabeth Koster,
continues at Coyote Point County Park in San Mateo. The bird was
with a flock of crowned sparrows in the low bushes and on the ground
at the "corner" of the bay between the yacht harbor and the PGE marsh,
on the bay side of the paths meeting here. This should lead to a
google-map satellite view if the area:

The bird has also been in the marsh too. (Elisabeth Koster, Ron Thorn)

On Nov 26, the SAGE SPARROW, a GRASSHOPPER SPARROW, and
(2-3) WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS with possible Lark Sparrow and
Vesper Sparrow were seen at the Weed Farm. (Al DeMartini)

NOTE: A birder encountered a person who said it was private property and
off limits. (Dave Weber)

The Weed Farm is located on the west side of Highway 1 and about
a half mile north of the turnoff to the Ano Nuevo State Reserve.
Parked along Highway 1 across from the Christmas tree farm and
take the state park road west paralleling the trees on the south side
of the road. Access into the field will be about a quarter of a mile
west of Highway 1. There will a dirt road entering from the south
side of the state park road at a dead tree. Follow the dirt road to where
it crosses a drainage ditch into the another field, where you will find
sparrows delight.

San Francisco Co.
-----------------
On Nov 24, the ROCK WREN continues at Sutro Baths, between
Louis's Restaurant and the Cliff House, right where the road bends.
