Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday December 14. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

On December 9 a male HOODED ORIOLE visited a Reedsport feeder. The FALCATED
DUCK continues to be seen at the Coburg RV Park. On December 10 a
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was seen in Corvallis.

Two LONG-TAILED DUCKS were seen December 8 at Brookings. Two CLAY-COLORED
SPARROWS are now visiting a feeder in North Bend. On December 7 a GLAUCOUS
GULL and a YELLOWTHROAT were on the North Spit of Coos Bay. A BARN SWALLOW
was seen December 7 north of Lincoln City. On December 8 three REDPOLLS were
at the mitigation bank near the Astoria Airport. A group of seven PINE
GROSBEAKS was seen December 12 on Nicolai Mountain east of Astoria.

At least three SWAMP SPARROWS are now at Ridgefield NWR. A BRANT was there
December 7. On December 10 a MAGPIE was seen in Milwaukie. A ROSSıS GOOSE
was seen December 9 in the Columbia Gorge at North Bonneville, WA. An
EMPEROR GOOSE was at Baskett Slough NWR December 12. On December 13 a
FRANKLINıS GULL was at the Fiddlerıs Green Golf Course in Eugene. Two
LONG-TAILED DUCKS are now at the Lost Creek Reservoir on the Rogue River.

On December 9 six LONG-EARED OWLS, a RED-BREASTED MERGANSER, and eight
COMMON LOONS were on Haystack Reservoir near Madras. A flock of 75
TRICOLORED BLACKBIRDS was seen December 10 along Gerke Road north of
Prineville. The Klamath Falls LONG-TAILED DUCK continues to be seen.
