23 December 2006 at 06:00 a.m.
Highlights: ROCK SANDPIPER, RUFF.
Sacramento Co.
--------------
On Dec 22, the RUFF continues as well as a FERRUGINOUS HAWK on the west
side of Sherman Island Cross Rd. or Levee Rd. (different names on
different maps; it's the road that comes off of 160 and heads due south)
approximately a mile south of 160 and 1/4 mile north of where the takes
a left turn and heads east. The fields here on the west side have a fair
amount of water in them. (John Luther)
Alameda Co.
-----------
On Dec 22, an adult RUFF was seen south of the Dumbarton Bridge.
The bird was about 1/4 of a mile from the end of the road that is
adjacent to Hwy 84. When looking south, you will almost be adjacent to
the railroad trestles. (Andy Pedler)
Mendocino Co.
--------------
On Dec 22, (3) ROCK SANDPIPERS were roosting at high tide on the rocks
just south of Laguna Point in MacKerricher State Park. (Dorothy Tobkin)
