Just outside of Rimersburg on 12/21, a NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen perched on a
utility wire (CW).
In Sligo through the weekend, 2 HERMIT THRUSHES and 1 WINTER WREN continued
their presence (CW).

In the Plain Grove area through 12/21, 2 NORTHERN SHRIKES are being seen,
one on Golf Course Road and the other along Route 108 (DY).
On 12/21 at the New Beaver Three Rivers gravel pond, 1 GREEN-WINGED TEAL, 1
NORTHERN PINTAIL, 2 AMERICAN BLACK DUCKS, 1 RUDDY DUCK, and others (MV).
On 12/24 in Plain Grove and nearby areas, 2 BALD EAGLES, 2 CACKLING GEESE at
the lake next to Volant Strips, 1 NORTHERN SHRIKE, 1 CANVASBACK, 2 LESSER
SCAUP (MV).
SOMERSET COUNTY:
Near Davidsville on 12/20, 1 male and 1 female NORTHERN HARRIER were seen (TR).
WASHINGTON COUNTY:
In McDonald through early this week, the RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD continues her
presence at backyard feeders (reported to RP).
On 12/22 in Coal Center on the Monongahela River, 1 Pied-billed Grebe
continues (AT).
WESTMORELAND COUNTY:
On 12/17 near Derry, SHORT-EARED OWLS were reported as seen (TR).
