Highlights: LONG-TAILED DUCK, HOODED MERGANSER, GLAUCOUS GULL,
SLATY-BACKED GULL, SNOWY OWL, NASHVILLE WARBLER, YELLOW WARBLER,
BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER, AMERICAN REDSTART, WHITE-THROATED SPARROW,
LAPLAND LONGSPUR, SCOTT'S ORIOLE, ORCHARD ORIOLE.

Solano Co.

On Jan 13, the SNOWY OWL was seen again along the shore of Grizzly Bay
by boat. There is no land access. Contact Capt. Dan Thiemann.

San Mateo Co.

On Jan 13, a LONG-TAILED DUCK was seen with surf scoters and
buffleheads at the end of the jetty at the Oyster Point Marina.

On Jan 13, a second cycle SLATY-BACKED GULL was seen at Venice Beach
in Half Moon Bay. (Al Jaramillo)

On Jan 12, a LAPLAND LONGSPUR was seen and heard flying south near
a marsh between Coyote Point to the north and the San Mateo Bridge
to the south. The bird may or may not have landed in the golf

San Francisco Co.

On Jan 13, an adult male SCOTT'S ORIOLE was seen in the Banksias
tree on Hippy Hill at Sharon Meadow in Golden Gate Park. Hippy Hill
is on the west side of the Meadow behind (east of) the tennis courts.
There was also a NASHVILLE WARBLER in the trees there.

A dull YELLOW WARBLER was also seen here. (Ed DeBellevue)

On Jan 13, also in Golden Gate Park, (2) WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS were
seen in the Rhododendron Dell. And (5) HOODED MERGANSERS were
at Lloyd Lake. (Alan Hopkins)

On Jan 13, a male AMERICAN REDSTART was found at Alice Street
Community Gardens, which is located between Folsom and Harrison
Streets, at Lapulapu. This is between 3rd and 4th Streets, south
of Market. (Tom White)

On Jan 13, this morning, the BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER continues at
Fort Scott in the Presidio. It was in the trees in front
of building 1206. At Fort Mason Community Garden, the ORCHARD ORIOLE
was in the NE corner in the tree with the feeder. (Calvin D Lou)

On Jan 13, a 1st year GLAUCOUS GULL was found at the EEC in Alviso.
A BARN SWALLOW was seen at the Palo Alto Duck Ponds. (Al Jaramillo)
