Valley Audubon Society, recorded on September 15th at 11:00 PM.

There will be a field trip to Bake Oven Knob on September 17th. Meet at the
Tilghman Square Parking lot, near the Red Robin Restaurant, just west of
Route 309 at 9:00 AM. Trip leader will be Jon Levin.

Sightings from JACOBSBURG STATE PARK, Northampton County included:
PHILADELPHIA VIREO - 1 on 9/14.

Sightings from WILLIAMS TOWNSHIP, Northampton County included:
PHILADELPHIA VIREO - 1 during this past week
Purple Finch - 1 on 9/10.

Sightings from the BELTZVILLE LAKE area, Carbon County included:
NORTHERN WHEATEAR (possible) - 1 on 9/10 (belated report).
This bird was seen on a stone pile at a gravel parking lot.

Sightings from the MACUNGIE area, Lehigh County included:
Tree Swallows - ~5000 on 9/12.

Sightings from GREEN LANE RESERVOIR, Montgomery County included:
AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVERS - 2 on 9/10
BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER - 1 to at least 9/10
Stilt Sandpipers - 2 on 9/10
American Pipits - 3 on 9/10 (fairly early date).

Sightings from PEACE VALLEY PARK, Bucks County included:
BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS - 1 adult and 1 immature to at least 9/10 (at the
Chapman Road bridge)
YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON - 1 immature to at least 9/10 (at the Chapman
Road bridge)
VIRGINIA RAIL - 1 on 9/8
Bald Eagle - seen during this past week
Lesser Black-backed Gulls - 13 on 9/10
PHILADELPHIA VIREO - 1 on 9/10
GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH - 1 on 9/10
CONNECTICUT WARBLER - 1 on 9/10
Also Green-winged Teal, Winter Wren, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and Purple Finch.

Red-breasted Nuthatches continued to be reported from several sites this
past week.
