Highlights: BROWN BOOBY, HARLEQUIN DUCK, SLATY-BACKED GULL,
NORTHERN GOSHAWK, TENNESSEE WARBLER, PALM WARBLER, HARRIS'S SPARROW.

San Francisco Co.

On Jan 16, the TENNESSEE WARBLER was seen late in the day at Hippy Hill
in Sharon Meadow in Golden Gate Park. Hippy Hill is on the west side
of the Meadow behind (east of) the tennis courts. (Matt Brady)

On Jan 15, an interesting plover was seen along with a
BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER near the embedded wreck in the mud between the
powerhouse and park at the Indian Basin Open Space. (Across from
Heron's Head). (Nathaniel Wander)

On Jan 15, a NORTHERN GOSHAWK was seen at Fort Miley East, which is east
of the Veteran's Hospital. (Dominik Mosur)

San Mateo Co.

On Jan 16, a PALM WARBLER was on a Coyote Bush at the edge of the
grove of Eucalyptus Trees on the north side of the field at
the end of Sevilla Avenue in El Granada. (Ron Thorn)

On Jan 16, the 2nd cycle SLATY-BACKED GULL, which was found on Saturday
continues at Venice State Beach in Half Moon Bay. (Al Jaramillo)

On Jan 15, (2) male HARLEQUIN DUCKS were seen off of the Coyote Point
Marina in San Mateo. (Ken Schneider)

Mendocino Co.

On Jan 13, a BROWN BOOBY was seen on a rock but it headed north
at the Judge Handle State Reserve. (Teresa Faxon-Los Angeles)

Sonoma Co.

On Jan 16, the HARRIS'S SPARROW was seen again at Petaluma-Adobe State
Historic Park on Adobe Road on the east side of Petaluma. It was seen
near the entrance kiosk. (4) VARIED THRUSHES were also seen.
