SLATY-BACKED GULL, GLAUCOUS GULL, TENNESSEE WARBLER.
Tuolumne Co.
------------
On Jan 28, the male SMEW continues in Tuolumne County.
To get to the pond take highway 108 a few miles (about 5?) east
of Sonora to Soulsbyville Road where there is a stop light.
Turn right on Soulsbyville Road and then take the first left
(right by a store) at King's Road, which ends in about 100 yards at
a pond. Other birds seen were HOODED MERGANSER, COMMON MERGANSER,
RING-NECKED DUCK and GREATER SCAUP. (Phil Gordon)
Alameda Co.

On Jan 24, (11) BLACK SKIMMERS were at Crab Cove in Robert Crown
Memorial State Beach in Alameda. From Webster Street, head south until
you hit Central, turn west or right, then left or
south on McKay Ave. (Phil Gordon)
San Mateo Co.

On Jan 29, the 2nd cycle SLATY-BACKED GULL was seen between 1110am
to 1230pm at Venice State Beach in Half Moon Bay. Also (2) 1st cycle
GLAUCOUS GULLS were seen as well. In Moss Beach, a TENNESSEE WARBLER
was seen at 439 California Avenue. There is a marked sign
"The Guadeloupe House". (Ron Thorn)
El Dorado Co.

On Jan 29, an immature RED-SHOULDERED HAWK was seen at the intersection
of Lake Tahoe Blvd and 3rd Street in the city of South Lake Tahoe.
