[The past week has been relatively slow, hence no new RBA recordings were made. Most
species mentioned in this report are re-located species from previous reports.]

Two PEREGRINE FALCONS were observed circling near the top of the IBM building in
mid-town Atlanta on 2/3, at the corner of 14th Street and West Peachtree Street.
[This species is known to nest annually on ledges of skyscrapers in the mid-town
area, and regularly makes meals of the abundant Rock Doves in the area.]

On 2/3 a report from Bartow County that the GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE and BREWER?S
BLACKBIRDS continue on Floyd Creek Church Rd, but not present were Snow Geese and
Sandhill Crane. On nearby Taff Rd, a nice assortment of ducks including 8 NORTHERN
PINTAIL, 41 GADWALL, 12 GREEN-WINGED TEAL, and 2 AMERICAN WIGEON. From the end of
the soccer field parking lot on Douthit Ferry Rd, four HORNED LARKS continue, which

At least one WHITE-WINGED SCOTER, a BLACK SCOTER, and other waterfowl continue at
the Bear Creek Reservoir in Jackson County. The same report noted another visit to
the resident ROSS? GOOSE in Ila, in Madison County. To see the goose, from I-85 NE
of Atlanta, get off at Exit 149 and head south through Commerce, until you get to GA
Hwy 98 ? turn left to head east. Continue 2.4 miles and pass Jot-Em-Down road on
your left, and in about 0.25 miles you?ll see a pond on the left side of the road
with a house with white columns behind it. You can park in a small pullout on that
side of the road to view the pond and pasture where the bird hangs out with some
domestic Graylag Geese. Be extremely careful with traffic on Hwy.
