Sacramento Co.

On Feb 11, the COMMON GRACKLE was seen with a large flock of
mixed blackbirds on the west side of Route 160 opposite the
intersection of Route 160 and Sherman Island Road. This is the
Sherman Island Road that is closest to the Antioch Bridge or in
the middle of the island, not on the edge of the Sacramento River.

On Feb 11, a tan-striped WHITE-THROATED SPARROW was seen in
a private residence in Novato. (Francis McCray)

San Mateo Co.

On Feb 11, (2) GLAUCOUS GULLS were seen in the gull flock
at Venice State Beach in Half Moon Bay. (Michelle Brodie)

Merced Co.

On Feb 9, a male RUFF was seen in a flooded field along
Chamberlain Road, which is SE of Merced NWR and 0.8 mile from
the south end of Lone Tree Road. (6) MARBLED GODWITS were seen
along Gun Club Road.

On Feb 10, (10) BARN OWL, (1) SHORT-EARED OWL and (1) BURROWING OWL
were seen in the general area of Byron Hot Springs Road and Holey Road.
