A PECTORAL SANDPIPER was found at the Santa Maria River Mouth (end of Main Street,
west of Guadalupe) on the 15th. Also at this location was the LARGE-BILLED form of
SAVANNAH SPARROW. (Brad Schram)
A TROPICAL KINGBIRD was found on the 17th around the lagoon at the Arroyo Grande
Creek Mouth. (Maggie Smith)
At the Oceano Lagoon and Campground a NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH was found on the 12th, a
BLACKPOLL WARBLER was seen on the 15th in the pines near the amphitheatre (Jamie
Chavez) and two BLACKPOLLS were found on the 16th (Tom Edell).
A female BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER and a BLACK AND WHITE WARBLER were found at the Pecho
Willows (corner of Henrietta and Pecho in Los Osos) on the 17th (Jim Royer)
Another LARGE-BILLED SAVANNAH SPARROW was found on the 17th at the Morro Bay State
Park Marina (Tom Edell/Greg Smith)
At Quail Springs in the south end of the Carrizo Plain on the 18th were both
BREWER'S SPARROW and BLACK-THROATED SPARROW. (Al Schmierer/Maggie Smith)
