This is the Chicago Audubon Society bird report for Wednesday,
February 28, 2007 at 9:00am.

An adult BLACK-HEADED GULL found at Montrose on February 23rd was
seen again this morning.

Seen yesterday at North Point Marina in Winthrop Harbor were
GLAUCOUS, ICELAND, THAYER'S, and LESSER BLACK-BACKED and GREAT
BLACK-BACKED GULLS, and HORNED GREBE, LONG-TAILED DUCK, and GREEN-WINGED TEAL.

Two TRUMPETER SWANS were seen February 23rd at Lake Katherine at
119th and Harlem.

A KILLDEER was heard Monday in Chicago.

Two male and one female HARLEQUIN DUCK were still present February
24th in Chicago between the Chess Pavilion and Oak Street Beach.

A RED-THROATED LOON was seen February 19th at the Lake Forest Beach.
Other RED-THROATED LOONS were seen February 17th at the Waukegan
Beach and at Hosah Park in Zion at the end of Shiloh Boulevard.

NORTHERN SHRIKES were seen recently at Greene Valley Forest Preserve,
at Rollins Savanna, and at the North Unit of Illinois Beach State Park.
