TREE SWALLOW
Update on the TUFTED DUCK
Wednesday, February 28
A male TUFTED DUCK was seen again on Kings Pond on the Cedar Hill Golf
Course. This is at the end of Ascot Drive.
The male TOWNSEND'S WARBLER was seen again at a feeder at 905 Dunn
Ave. near Swan Lake.
Tuesday, February 27
12 CEDAR WAXWINGS were seen at Quick's Bottom.
Monday, February 26
22 TREE SWALLOWS, the first of the season, were seen at Blenkinsop Lake.
Also there was 1 juvenile PEREGRINE FALCON and 5 singing WESTERN
MEADOWLARKS.
Sunday, February 25
2 WHIMBREL were seen off Ten Mile Point.
Saturday, February 24
A PALM WARBLER was seen at the south side of Swan Lake by the Lollypop
Boardwalk. Also at Swan Lake was a RUSTY BLACKBIRD seen with other
blackbirds.
The TUFTED DUCK was seen on the pond with the stone bridge, which is just
south of Kings Pond on the Cedar Hill Golf Course.
A TUNDRA SWAN was seen at Martindale.
Thursday, February 22
A PRAIRIE FALCON was seen at the corner of Lohbrunner Rd. and Lochside Drive
north of Blenkinsop Lake.
Wednesday, February 21
2 male REDHEADS and 46 CANVASBACKS were seen on Elk Lake.
Tuesday, February 20
A FORK-TAILED STORM-PETREL was seen from the Ogden Point Breakwater in the
morning. This bird is not in good condition.
At Blenkinsop Lake there were 5 WESTERN MEADOWLARKS and 1 PEREGRINE FALCON
at the north end.
