Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report

The Eugene FALCATED DUCK continues to be seen. A possible WHISKERED AUKLET
was reported March 26 off the main viewpoint at Ecola State Park. On March
27 a TRICOLORED HERON was seen along the Fanno Creek Trail between Scholls
Ferry Road and Oleson Road in Beaverton. It could not be relocated. A
CRESTED CARACARA was near Cape Blanco March 22. It did not remain. A
possible CARACARA was reported near McMinnville March 26. The GREAT-TAILED
GRACKLE is still being seen at the boat ramp in Lakeside, north of Coos Bay.
The HORNED PUFFIN continues to be seen between the jetties at Yaquina Bay,
but is very elusive. Two were seen off Ecola State Park March 26. The
offshore boat trip out of Newport March 25 found a LAYSAN ALBATROSS, seven
HORNED PUFFINS, and three TUFTED PUFFINS.
Conspicuous mIgrants during the week were PURPLE FINCHES, WHITE-CROWNED
SPARROWS, GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROWS, LONG-BILLED CURLEWS, and FRANKLINıS GULLS
at Malheur NWR.
Four SNOW BUNTINGS were seen March 29 on Clatsop Beach near Camp Rilea. On
March 24 two BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS were near Roy, north of Forest Grove.
Three CLIFF SWALLOWS and a BARN SWALLOW were seen March 22 at Murphy, south
of Grants Pass. Another BARN SWALLOW was at Klamath Falls March 27.
