2 Red-necked Grebes were reported from Clark's Hill Lake north of Augusta at
the West Dam Recreation Area on US 221. If you don't see them there cross
the dam and scan the lake from the Visitor's Center parking lot on the SC
side of the lake.

A Red-throated Loon was reported at Lake Juliet north of Macon. From
Atlanta take US 23 south one or two miles past Plant Shearer and pull off on
the right-of-way and scan the lake.

3 Red Crossbills are coming to a feeder in Epworth in Fannin County.

A Swallow-tailed Kite was reported from Thomas County. Please call in or
report to GABO all Swallow-tailed Kite sightings as we're compiling a
database of them.

Black-necked Stilts have been reported; one from the Altamaha NWR and two
from the Andrews Island Causeway in Glynn County. Also a Common Loon was
seen from the Causeway.

Ruffed Grouse and Common Ravens are being seen and heard at Brasstown Bald
State Park. Go to the top and park then walk up. When you cross a
maintenance road turn right and go past an old iron gate. Walk this path
and watch and listen.

Ruby-throated Hummingbirds are all over the state except maybe in the
mountains.

An Upland Sandpiper was reported from the Bostwick Sod Farm in the most
northerly field. The sod farm is in Bostwick which is south of Athens.

A report from 3/28 of three Whooping Cranes seen at the Flat Creek Public
Fishing Area near Perry, seen heading north. The lake has been partially
drained and may be good for shorebirds.
