Helderberg Hawkwatch 9/19: 14 TURKEY VULTURES, 1 adult BALD EAGLE, 1
SHARP-SHINNED HAWK, 2 COOPER'S HAWKS, 1 NORTHERN GOSHAWK, 1
RED-SHOULDERED HAWK, 34 BROAD-WINGED HAWKS, 2 RED-TAILED HAWKS, and 3
unidentified raptors. Other birds included CHIMNEY SWIFT,
RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD, 2 YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKERS, COMMON RAVEN,
~6 YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS, and 2 PURPLE FINCHES
Greene County IDA (Industrial Development Agency) grounds 9/19, 9/20
and 9/21: CONNECTICUT WARBLER (apparently different individuals!!)
Note: There will be a field trip to the IDA on Sunday afternoon for
people attending the NYSOA Annual meeting who may be traveling
southward.
