This is the Voice of Audubon for Friday, April 6.
The PACIFIC LOON off Devereaux Beach in Marblehead was last reported
on Tuesday, and reports this week from the Newburyport/Plum Island
area included
12 SNOW GEESE, 2 GREAT EGRETS, 1 BLACK VULTURE, 2 BALD EAGLES,
an AMERICAN COOT, 3 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, and a FISH CROW.
Recent miscellaneous reports have included 5 GREAT EGRETS, 3 SNOWY
EGRETS, and a PINE WARBLER in Gloucester, 5 GREAT EGRETS, 2 SNOWY
EGRETS, and 4 GLOSSY IBIS in Ipswich, 30 WILSON'S SNIPE in Newbury, a
RED-HEADED WOODPECKER in Littleton, 3 NORTHERN SHOVELERS and
30 TREE SWALLOWS at the Great Meadows Refuge in Concord, 80 GREEN-
WINGED TEAL (including 1 of the Eurasian race) at Nine-acre Corner in
Concord, a SNOW GOOSE in Lincoln, 50 TREE SWALLOWS and a RUSTY
BLACKBIRD in Wayland, 3 EASTERN PHOEBES and a FOX SPARROW in
Brookline, an OSPREY in Quincy, 38 WILSON'S SNIPE and a WHITE-
CROWNED SPARROW at the Cumberland Farm fields in Middleboro, and 4
HARLEQUIN DUCKS in Westport.
