Last Sunday another PINE WARBLER was found in Orange County. This time at
Yorba Middle School, near Cambridge and Adams in Orange. The bird was still
there as of today, Wednesday.
Hugh's directions are: . As you drive (north?) on Cambridge, and just
before you reach Adams on the right, there are two small buildings, with a
parking lot, inset into the playing field. This is some sort of clinic.
There is a single pine that overhangs both buildings, and this is where the
bird spent most of his time
Last Thursday an EURASIAN-COLLARED DOVE was seen in Laguna Beach. The
species is expanding its presence in Orange County.
On Sunday a PLUMBEOUS VIREO was seen at Caspers Park, off the Oak Trail
Loop.
CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRDS continue to be seen in the county. An almost dead
female was picked up in Corona del Mar on Sunday but did not survive. Last
Thursday as many as 4 males were at the fenced-in garden at Huntington
Central Park (east side) and one continued through Sunday.
A REDDISH EGRET continues at Bolsa Chica preserve, seen this morning (the
18th).
