This is Dave DeReamus, for the Eastern PA Birdline, sponsored by the Lehigh
Valley Audubon Society, recorded on April 26th at 11:00 PM.

There will be a field trip to Sand Island along the Lehigh River on April
28th. Meet at the Sears parking lot on Route 191, just south of Route 22 at
7:00 AM. Trip leader will be Karen Dolan.

There will also be a field trip to Jacobsburg State Park on April 29th.
Meet at the Henry's Woods parking lot at 8:00 AM. Trip leader will be Kathy
Sieminski.

Sightings include: YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD, CATTLE EGRET, YELLOW-THROATED
WARBLER, GLOSSY IBIS, GLAUCOUS GULL, ICELAND GULL, RED-NECKED GREBE,
LONG-TAILED DUCK, LARK SPARROW, and others.

Sightings from the KIRKRIDGE area, Northampton County included:
Common Raven - 1 on 4/22.

Sightings from PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Northampton County included:
YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD - 1 on 4/26 (at a private feeder).

Sightings from LOWER NAZARETH TOWNSHIP, Northampton County included:
CATTLE EGRET - 1 on 4/25 to at least 4/26 (in a flooded field along Route
191 near Hollo Road).

Sightings from WILLIAMS TOWNSHIP, Northampton County included:
Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 1 on 4/23.

Sightings from the BETHLEHEM BOAT CLUB area, Northampton County included:
Warbling Vireo - 1 on 4/25
YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER - 1 from 4/21 to at least 4/24
American Redstart - 1 on 4/24.
Also Bald Eagle.

Sightings from the FREEMANSBURG area, Northampton County included:
Worm-eating Warbler - 1 on 4/23 (along the Lehigh River towpath).

Sightings from the GREEN POND area, Northampton County included:
GLOSSY IBIS - 2 from 4/19 to 4/22; 1 on 4/23
GLAUCOUS GULL - 1 on 4/19-20, 4/23, and 4/25 to at least 4/26 (first-year
bird)
ICELAND GULLS - 2 on 4/20; 1 on 4/24 to at least 4/26
Bonaparte's Gulls - 4 on 4/23
Eastern Kingbird - 1 on 4/22 and 4/24
Yellow Warblers - 2 on 4/24.

Sightings from the MONOCACY NATURE CENTER, Northampton County included:
Black-throated Green Warbler - 1 on 4/26.

Sightings from BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, Northampton County included:
Solitary Sandpiper - 1 on 4/22 (in a small retention pond off Brodhead
Road).

Sightings from the KUNKLETOWN area, Monroe County included:
Rose-breasted Grosbeak - 1 on 4/26.

Sightings from the PALMERTON area, Carbon County included:
American Redstart - 1 on 4/24 (at the Palmerton Blue Ridge Golf Course).

Sightings from BELTZVILLE STATE PARK, Carbon County included:
RED-NECKED GREBE - 1 on 4/23
LONG-TAILED DUCK - 1 on 4/23 and 4/24
Red-breasted Mergansers - 2 on 4/24
Cliff Swallows - 6 on 4/23 (at the Pine Run bridge)
Black-and-white Warblers - 2 on 4/24
Black-throated Green Warblers - 2 on 4/24
Northern Parula - 1 on 4/24.
Also Common Raven.

Sightings from the PENN FOREST RESERVOIR area, Carbon County included:
Blackburnian Warbler - 1 on 4/24 (along Hell Hollow Road).

Broad-winged Hawks - 102 on 4/22
Osprey - 25 on 4/22.

Sightings from LYNN TOWNSHIP, Lehigh County included:
Peregrine Falcon - 1 on 4/24.

Sightings from the JORDAN CREEK PARKWAY, Lehigh County included:
Black-throated Green Warbler - 1 on 4/22.

Sightings from PEACE VALLEY PARK, Bucks County included:
Great Egret - 1 on 4/22
Snow Geese - 2 to at least 4/20
LONG-TAILED DUCK - 1 on 4/20
Common Goldeneye - seen during this past week
Chimney Swift - 1 on 4/21
Common Yellowthroat - 1 on 4/23.
Also Hooded Merganser and Bald Eagle.

Sightings from BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, Bucks County included:
LARK SPARROW - 1 to at least 4/24 (still at the Maple Knoll Farm).

Blue-gray Gnatcatchers and House Wrens were reported from several sites this
past week.
