This is the Voice of Audubon for Monday, April 23.

The RUFF in Newburyport Harbor was still present there over the
weekend, a
BLUE GROSBEAK that has been present for roughly a week in the
vicinity
of Niles Pond in East Gloucester was still there yesterday, and other
birds seen
in the Gloucester area included a 2 AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHERS, 1
BROWN THRASHER, a NORTHERN PARULA, 2 YELLOW-RUMPED
WARBLERS, 1 GRASSHOPPER SPARROW, an INDIGO BUNTING,
and 3 SCARLET TANAGERS.

A SANDHILL CRANE was seen at Bolton Flats on Saturday and Sunday,
and other weekend reports from the Flats included 71 WOOD DUCKS,
roughly 300 GREEN-WINGED TEAL, 1 BLUE-WINGED TEAL, 2
AMERICAN WIGEON, 34 RING-NECKED DUCKS, 1 NORTHERN
HARRIER, and 4 GREATER YELLOWLEGS.

At Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge this morning there were 16
RUBY-
CROWNED KINGLETS, 14 HERMIT THRUSHES, 25 YELLOW-RUMPED
WARBLERS, 33 PALM WARBLERS, 1 BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER,
and 1 SCARLET TANAGER, and seen at the Marblehead Neck Sanctuary
this morning were 1 BLUE-HEADED VIREO, roughly 100 RUBY-CROWNED
KINGLETS, 100 HERMIT THRUSHES, 2 NORTHERN WATERTHRUSHES,
and 1 LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH.

Weekend reports from Plum Island included a GREEN-WINGED TEAL of
the Eurasian race, 1 NORTHERN SHOVELER, 50 GREATER SCAUP,
roughly 1000 migrating DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANTS, 2 AMERICAN
BITTERNS, 23 migrating AMERICAN KESTRELS, 1 AMERICAN COOT,
1 AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHER, 12 PIPING PLOVERS, 58 GREATER
YELLOWLEGS, 2 LESSER YELLOWLEGS, 10 AMERICAN WOOD-
COCKS, 1 LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL, 1 CASPIAN TERN, 14
migrating NORTHERN FLICKERS, 1 YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER,
10 EASTERN PHOEBES, 1 PURPLE MARTIN, several hundred migrating
swallows including 225 TREES, 11 NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGEDS, 2
BANKS, and 67 BARN SWALLOWS, 6 RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS,
4 HERMIT THRUSHES, 5 YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS, and 4
PALM WARBLERS.

Weekend totals from the Pilgrim Heights hawkwatch in Truro included
1 BLACK VULTURE, 13 TURKEY VULTURES, 12 SHARP-SHINNED
HAWKS, 6 COOPER'S HAWKS, 10 AMERICAN KESTRELS, and 4
MERLINS, and seen in Plymouth over the weekend were 9 BLUE-WINGED
TEAL, 1 LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL, 1 GLAUCOUS GULL, 1
CASPIAN TERN, 2 NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS, 1
BANK SWALLOW, 4 BARN SWALLOWS, 10 FISH CROWS, 4
HERMIT THRUSHES, and 2 PALM WARBLERS.

Seen in Lancaster were 1 OSPREY, 2 RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS,
6 EASTERN PHOEBES, 2 WINTER WRENS, 4 PINE WARBLERS, 6
PALM WARBLERS, 2 LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSHES, and 4
CHIPPING SPARROWS, and a report from Gardner today included 2
AMERICAN BITTERNS, 1 OSPREY, 1 BALD EAGLE, 3 BROAD-
WINGED HAWKS, and 3 AMERICAN KESTRELS.

At Nantucket there were 17 BLUE-WINGED TEAL, 1 WILLET, 1
GLAUCOUS GULL, 1 SHORT-EARED OWL, and 1 AMERICAN PIPIT,
and miscellaneous reports from the weekend included a LITTLE BLUE
HERON in Groton, an EVENING GROSBEAK in Princeton, a LESSER
BLACK-BACKED GULL in Lancaster, the RED-HEADED WOODPECKER
still present in Littleton, a ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK in Newbury,
a SCARLET TANAGER in Ipswich, the EARED GREBE that over-
wintered at Niles Beach in East Gloucester, an INDIGO BUNTING in
Manchester, 13 EASTERN PHOEBES, 10 Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and
28 PALM WARBLERS in Salem, a BLUE-HEADED VIREO, 25
YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS, and 12 PALM WARBLERS at the
Arlington Reservoir, 4 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, 1 SOLITARY
SANDPIPER, and 1 SPOTTED SANDPIPER at Nine-acre Corner in
Concord, a SPOTTED SANDPIPER in Mattapan, and 2 BLUE-GRAY
GNATCATCHERS in Hingham.
