Marin Co.
---------
On Apr 25, (1) CATTLE EGRET was observed in the field to the north of
the main entrance road at Las Gallinas Sewage Treatment Plant. Two pairs
of BLUE-WINGED TEAL were along Binford Lane, North of Atherton Ave in
Novato. (Dave Wimpfheimer)

On Apr 23, (2) BALD EAGLE was seen flying near Hwy 101 and the Tiburon
exit. (Tom O'Neil)

On Apr 22, a GRASSHOPPER SPARROW and a male and female
LAWRENCE'S GOLDFINCH were on the Middle Burdell Fire Road on Mt Burdell.
This is approached by parking at the end of San Andreas Road in Novato.
Hike up the large fire road until there is a fork in the road
(Middle Burdell Fire Road and Andreas Fire Trail) approximately .75
miles from the parking area. Take the Middle Burdell Fire road which
fizzles into a narrow path by a marsh. The GRSP was on the fence along
this road, the Goldfinches visited a prominent clump of orange
Fiddleneck flowers and thistles. They flew off into the marsh area.
There are also a couple of large Oak trees there that they could
be frequenting. They did not stick around very long for us, but they can
be very quiet for long periods of time. (Lisa Hug)

San Mateo Co.
-------------
On Apr 22, (6) PURPLE MARTIN were seen in the field between the pond and
the visitor's center at Ano Nuevo State Preserve. Hundreds of BRANTS
were seen migrating between Ano Nuevo and the lighthouse.

seen along Hwy 165. Along the auto tour loop of the Merced NWR,
