Monterey:

A male WILLIAMSON'S SAPSUCKER was seen yesterday in Jacks Peak Regional
Park. The bird was at the intersection of the Jacks Peak and the "Sky
View" Trails in the west end of the park. [Burl Horne]

Carmel:

The male HOODED WARBLER was heard and seen on the Carmel River today in
the area of the cut over. A first fall CASSIN'S VIREO was also in this
area. Farther upstream towards the Highway, a female CHESTNUT-SIDED
WARBLER continues and down near the net lanes, there was a female
BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER. [Rick Fournier]

A CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER was also reported downstream of the green pipe
and the banded LUCY'S WARBLER was with a large mixed flock down where
the river bed widens out. An ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER was captured today
at the Carmel that had been banded by others. Identity of the banding
station will be researched and reported later. [Matt Brady]

A TROPICAL KINGBIRD was seen where the riverbed meets the lagoon. The
bird was fly catching from a stump on the north bank. [Mike Tyner]

Big Sur:

The BSOL team banded a SWAMP SPARROW today. The bird was captured in a
net very near the BSOL lab. [Jessica Griffith]

Moss Landing:

This afternoon, a single BAIRD'S SANDPIPER was on pond 2 at Moon Glow
Dairy. [Rick Fournier]
