On Sept 24, a LEAST FLYCATCHER was seen in front of the visitor's
center at Coyote Hills Regional Park in Fremont. A BLACK RAIL was heard
from the short boardwalk at Arrowhead Marsh in Martin Luther King Jr
Regional Shoreline Park in Oakland. (John Luther)

On sept 24, a TROPICAL KINGBIRD was in the cypress tree on the south
side of the road as you approach the parking lot at Bodega Head

On Sept 24, a CANADA WARBLER was seen at the Historic F Ranch at
Pt Reyes National Seashore. (Ken Archimbaud)
On Sept 24, the Golden Gate Raptor Observatory had a good day up at
"Hawk Hill" in the Marin Headlands with about 600 sighting, including
(4) BROAD-WINGED HAWK (3 juveniles and an adult) and four
species of falcons with numerous kestrels and merlins.

On Sept 24, a BURROWING OWL was on a fence post along the road,
100 yards west of the Historic F Ranch at Pt Reyes National Seashore.

On Sept 24, a YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO was seen and was calling in the
cypress tree directly behind the momunment at Drake's Beach.

On Sept 24, a report from Pt Reyes ,at 715am, on the walk to the
"Lighthouse", a BOBOLINK was seen on the downhill slope of the trail
just before the first set of cypress trees. A ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK
was seen at the Lighthouse trees. (David Nelson)

On Sept 24, a TENNESSEE WARBLER and a BLACKPOLL WARBLER were
with a large mostly-Warbler flock about 1.1 miles up Gazos Creek Road
from Highway 1, near the first large pullout. (Al Eisner)
On Sept 24, a TROPICAL KINGBIRD was on the telephone wires along the
south end of Pigeon Point Road near Highway 1. The Tropical Kingbird
did fly off to the lighthouse. At Gazos Creek Road , a
CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER was in the Red Alders along the creek about
a third of a mile east of Highway 1. In the town of Pescadero,
(2) CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLERS were along Pescadero Creek just upstream
from the end of Water Lane. (Ron Thorn)
On Sept 23, a CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER and TENNESSEE WARBLER were in a
large flock of birds along Gazos Creek Road, near the "Dip" sign.

On Sept 23, a pelagic trip on Monterey Bay reported
(1) MANX'S SHEARWATER,(3) FLESH-FOOTED SHEARWATER,
(5) SHORT-TAILED SHEARWATER, (300) PINK-FOOTED SHEARWATER,
(150) BULLER'S SHEARWATER, (1000) SOOTY SHEARWATER,
(6) BLACK-FOOTED ALBATROSSES, (4) NORTHERN FULMAR,(5) ASHY STORM-PETREL,
(13) SOUTH POLAR SKUA, (12) POMARINE JAEGERS, and (9) PARASITIC JAEGERS.
