Welcome to Pennsylvania Audubon's and the Patriot-News' Birdline. This
Birdline covers sightings made primarily during the week prior to
Thursday, June 21, 2007.

ADAMS COUNTY:
A visit to the Gettysburg area found a RED-HEADED WOODPECKER on June 16
(MK).

CARBON COUNTY:
GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER, BLUE-WINGED WARBLER and BREWSTER'S WARBLER were
found along a power line cut in the Penn Forest area between June 16 and
17 (JH).

CENTRE COUNTY:
PIED-BILLED GREBES with young and a SORA were found at Julian Wetlands
on June 15 (AW).

CENTRE/CLEARFIELD COUNTIES:
CLAY-COLORED SPARROWS and HENSLOW'S SPARROWS were found during breeding
bird atlasing activities around Philipsburg between June 15 and 17 (AW).

CLEARFIELD COUNTY:
The Troy Hill Road and Munson areas produced a variety of birds
including HENSLOW'S SPARROWS on June 16 (JK).

COLUMBIA COUNTY:
A NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWL was calling near Millville on June 17 (MM).

LANCASTER COUNTY:
An adult LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was seen near Avocet Point and 2
PROTHONOTARY WARBLERS were at other locations at Conejohela Flats on
June 16 (TJ).

LYCOMING COUNTY:
GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLERS were found last week along Steam Valley Road not
far from Frey's Turkey Ranch Restaurant off of Route 15 (DF).

A NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWL was calling near Wildwood Cemetery in
Williamsport last week (DF).

PERRY/JUNIATA COUNTY:
At least one GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER was observed in Horse Valley on June
16 (PL).

PERRY COUNTY:
A GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER was found at some location in Colonel Denning
State Park, Blain or Tuscarora State Forest (exact location not listed)
on June 16 (RK).
