Highlights: LONG-EARED OWL, CASSIN'S KINGBIRD, PLUMBEOUS VIREO,
AMERICAN REDSTART, BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER, SUMMER TANAGER,
BLUE GROSBEAK, ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK, LARK BUNTING, INDIGO BUNTING,
BLACK THROATED SPARROW, SCOTT'S ORIOLE.

Solano Co.

On Jun 18, the singing male LARK BUNTING continues just south
of where the power lines cross Etzel Road in eastern Solano Co.
Etzel Road is bordered by Delhi Road on the south and Trefoil Road
on the north. This is location is east of Hwy 113, and north of
Binghamton Road. (John Sterling)

On Jun 17, a male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was coming to a feeder in
Saratoga Hills, outside of San Jose. Call 408-868-9470.

Mono Co.

On Jun 16, an AMERICAN REDSTART and SUMMER TANAGER were in Lundy Canyon.
At Frazer Canyon, a LONG-EARED OWL and (5) PLUMBEOUS VIREOS were
reported. On Jun 15 and Jun 16, a male BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER was at
the Lundy Lakes Resort. On Jun 14, at Wild Rose Canyon, along Benton
Crossing Road, a 1st year male AMERICAN REDSTART and PLUMBEOUS VIREO
were found. At Old Black Rock Mine site, (2) SCOTT'S ORIOLE were reported
in the pinyon pine and junipers. On Jun 14, at Fish Slough Ecological
Reserve, 10 miles north of Bishop, at the north end, an AMERICAN REDSTART
and BLUE GROSBEAK were reported, while the surrounding area hosted
(10) BLACK-THROATED SPARROWS. At Cottonwood Canyon, a female
INDIGO BUNTING was at the willow lined stream. On Jun 13, at Oasis Ranch
(not birder friendly- bird from the road), a CASSIN'S KINGBIRD was
spotted. This is near the junction of Hwy 168 and Hwy 266.
