Big Sur:

An adult male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was banded at Andrew Molera State Park today. After the bird was released, it was hanging around the area of the lab. [BSOL]

Pebble Beach:

The BLACK RAIL was heard in the marsh near the 9th tee at Spanish Bay this evening. A young VIRGINIA RAIL was seen foraging at the edge of the marsh. [Tim Amaral]
