Rare bird alert for a possible SCARLET TANAGER.
Sightings for Sunday, July 31:
There was no relocation of the possible SCARLET TANAGER on Bowen
Island today, despite an intensive search.
In Fort Langley, at the intersection of 208th St and 102B Ave., 2 SANDHILL
CRANES were seen in a field north of the intersection.
In Delta, off 80th St. on the Boundary Bay foreshore, were a RED-NECKED
PHALAROPE, 2 BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS, and a SHORT-EARED OWL.
Sightings for Saturday, July 30:
On Bowen Island, a possible male SCARLET TANAGER was seen briefly
about 3:15 PM at 321 Salal Road. Access to Bowen Island is by ferry from
Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver.
Sightings for Friday, July 29:
At Colony Farm in Coquitlam, near the old pig barn, a male LAZULI BUNTING
was singing. A juvenile was also present.
In North Delta, 4 COMMON NIGHTHAWKS were seen flying over 117th Street
at 95th Avenue.
There were no reports for Wednesday, July 27 or Thursday, July 28:

At Colony Farm, a male LAZULI BUNTING was seen near the old pig barn.
