It's been relatively slow, but warbler and shorebird migration is picking up.

So far the highest number of WARBLER spp seen at Kennesaw Mtn in Cobb
Co. has been 5.

Last weekend a good range of shorebirds was seen at the Marshallville
Super Sod Fm in Macon Co; this is located along the main highway from
Marshallville to Montezuma and can be viewed from the hwy or from
Felton Rd, which is on the left immediately before the sod farm.
Species seen include up to 3 UPLAND SANDPIPER along with PECTORAL,
LEAST, SOLITARY and SPOTTED SANDPIPERS.

At the sod farm pond opposite the Etowah Indian Mounds nr
Cartersville, PECTORAL, LEAST, and SOLITARY SANDPIPERS have been
reported, along with LESSER YELLOWLEGS.

Liz Horsey reports a PEREGRINE FALCON on Marrietta Street close to
the Coca-Cola Bldg in Atlanta on Aug 1.

MISSISSIPPI KITES are dispersing into the upper Piedmont; Sigrid
Sanders reported one from Oconee Co. on Aug 2.
